The Best Lesbian Book of All Time

In this classic romantic comedy, the main characters fall for each other despite their differences. The contrasting personalities of the main characters make each novel even more compelling. The main character, Captain Sabine Fleisher, is an Army surgeon stationed in Afghanistan under the anti-gay “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. While working in Afghanistan, Sabine experiences a high degree of isolation and often fantasizes about the handsome Colonel Rebecca Keane, who is a surgical surgeon at the military hospital.

Annie’s Story is one of the most influential lesbian fiction novels of all time. The novel charts the relationship between Annie and Liza, two seventeen-year-old girls from different backgrounds in New York City. The two are attracted to each other from the first moment they meet. The novel is both a classic and a must-read for lesbian fiction fans.
